Do I ever! My husband was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2012. Looking back, it really began to manifest in little ways about three years earlier. This dementia is called “the long goodbye” for a reason. Symptoms were subtle at first; not remembering the names of things, forgetting to pay bills, etc. He seemed to lose his empathy and he would stare at me without answering, or flatly refusing to do something (his way of hiding his inability to understand what I was asking or talking about).

Dementia is a widespread condition that affects millions of people worldwide, and many individuals and families have experienced its impact firsthand. It’s a complex and challenging condition that requires proper diagnosis, ongoing care, and support.

If you or someone you know is looking for information or support related to phone for seniors with dementia, I recommend reaching out to reputable organizations and resources specializing in dementia care. They can provide valuable information, guidance, and support for individuals living with dementia and their caregivers.

Uh, sure. It’s a common disease. Especially in the elderly. It is hard on the patient and the people around them.

Dementia is such a challenging condition, affecting not just memory but relationships too. Engaging the brain through activities can be helpful—have you heard about games like Slope Game? They’re simple yet engaging, improving focus and hand-eye coordination. While not a cure, activities like these can be both fun and beneficial for mental stimulation. Sending strength to anyone affected by dementia.
