‘Wonderful to see the looks on clubber’s faces’ at UK’s first pilot event
As we’ve reported, some 3,000 clubbers danced the evening away in สล็อตออนไลน์ Liverpool without masks or social distancing on Friday. The event in a warehouse on the city’s waterfront was part of the government’s test programme to evaluate how to hold mass gatherings safely as the country unlocks. Another 3,000 will gather there today for a second time when DJ Fatboy Slim will headline the event.
Liverpool’s director of public health says it was “wonderful” to see the looks on clubbers’ faces as they returned to the dancefloor.
He told BBC Breakfast: “It was amazing, not just in terms of the organisation of the event, but to see people enjoying themselves and having fun probably for the first time in over a year.”
He called the series of events “a big scientific experiment” to collect data on how we can safely reopen clubs in the future.
“But it is still wonderful to see the looks on people’s faces as they were at the event last night. It just gives a glimpse of what we think the future might hold,” he says.
